Cape Verde, an archipelago off the northwest coast of Africa, is a small island nation known for its stunning landscapes, vibrant culture, and historical ties. The capital city is Praia.

Colonized by the Portuguese in the 15th century, Cape Verde gained independence in 1975. The country consists of ten volcanic islands and five islets, offering a diverse range of environments from sandy beaches to mountainous terrain.
